The municipality of Papaflesa was a municipality in the prefecture of Messinia that was established under the Kapodistrias program by the union of older communities in the area, which then became the municipal districts of the municipality. It operated during the period 1998-2010, when it was abolished by the implementation of the Kallikratis program and joined the new municipality of Pylos-Nestor.
It was located in the central part of the county, inland. The municipality consisted of 5 municipal districts and had a total population of 2.205, according to the 200 census. Vlahopoulo was the seat of the municipality.
